FDSME 2021 Steam Railway Weekend

Our next Steam Railway Weekend is at the end of July on :

  • Saturday 30th July 2022 and
  • Sunday 31th July 2022

Please note that Fareham and District Society of Model Engineers (FDSME) have to reserve the right to cancel the event on one, or both days, due to adverse circumstances.

Location

Look out for our "salmon-pink" coloured road signs around the Titchfield area in Fareham, Hampshire. These will direct you to our event site off Segensworth Road, that is between Cartwright Drive and Mill Lane near to the historic Titchfield Abbey. Or just enter our postcode of PO15 5DZ into your sat-nav.

Admission

Gates open from 10:30 to 17:00 hrs. on each day (last train rides at 16:30 hrs.).

We are a "cash-only" site. There are no facilities to process card payments.

Once again both our raised 5" and the ground level 7¼" gauge tracks will in operation.

Train rides: TBA (all ages).

FDSMERadio controlled boats

Have a go steering one of our radio controlled boats.

Captain a boat: TBA for five minutes (all ages).

FDSMEGarden railway demonstrations

You can also drive one of our small 32mm gauge locos around a special track.

Train driving: TBA for three minutes (all ages).

Our FDSME members show the results of their time and effort.
